Emotion recognition is an important aspect of supporting the social and emotional development of school-aged children. This activity aimed to improve students’ ability to recognize and express basic emotions through the implementation of the Mood Meter and Emotional Board. The activity was conducted with 22 elementary school students, consisting of 8 male and 14 female students. Evaluation was conducted before and after the activity based on three indicators: the ability to recognize the names of basic emotions, identify facial expressions corresponding to emotions, and state and demonstrate the emotions being experienced. The evaluation results showed improvements across all indicators. The ability to recognize the names of basic emotions increased from 63.6% to 90.9%, the ability to identify facial expressions corresponding to emotions increased from 59.1% to 86.4%, and the ability to state and demonstrate the emotions being experienced increased from 45.5% to 77.3%. These findings indicated that the implementation of the Mood Meter and Emotional Board helped students understand and express emotions more concretely through visual and interactive learning. These media have the potential to serve as educational tools to support the social and emotional development of elementary school students.
