A Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) have become a major health issue affecting the elderly and pose a risk of causing medical emergencies if not properly managed. The elderly’s limited understanding of risk factors, symptoms, and prevention of NCDs can increase the likelihood of complications such as hypertension, stroke, diabetes mellitus, and heart disease. This community service initiative aims to implement nursing management functions, particularly during the planning phase, to improve the quality of healthcare services through NCD health education for the elderly in the service area of the Jalan Gedang Community Health Center. The activity was conducted through several stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The education methods used included lectures, interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and the distribution of educational materials in the form of leaflets. The implementation of the activities demonstrated an increase in the elderly’s knowledge regarding the types of NCDs, risk factors, signs of medical emergencies, and steps to prevent disease complications. The application of the planning function in nursing management helped ensure the implementation of the activities was more focused and systematic. The results of the community service initiative showed that NCD health education was able to improve the knowledge and awareness of the elderly regarding health maintenance and the prevention of disease emergencies, thereby supporting the improvement of the quality of health services in the community.
