Patient satisfaction with care and treatment services is a key indicator of the quality of healthcare facilities. Continuity of nursing care plays a crucial role in achieving patient satisfaction with nursing care. Handover is the process of transferring responsibility between shifts and conveying information about care and treatment provided for patients from the previous shift to the next. Training activity about bedside handover was conducted at General Hospital of Bina Kasih Medan on April 20-22, 2026. This is one of the efforts to improve nurse communication in providing nursing care for internal medicine and surgical cases. Participants in this activity were all ward heads, team leaders, and 30 nurses in the internal medicine and surgical wards. The process of community service activity consisted of material presentation, bedside handover simulation, and direct observation of bedside handover implementation in the inpatient ward. Before and after the material presentation, questionnaires were given to participants. There was a difference average score before and after presentation, that is 30,9. Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that participants' understanding of bedside handover increased after the material presentation. The results of the author's observations of bedside handover activities in the inpatient room can be carried out well and correctly in accordance with the bedside handover simulation that was given on the first day.
