Self-regulation is a psychological method related to achieving optimal nutritional status, as it relates to an individual's ability to control behavior, manage desires, emotions, and motivation. Emotions in adolescence are generally more volatile, the types of emotions are more varied, and emotional states can persist for quite a long time. This can lead to nutritional problems among adolescents, such as an unbalanced diet, meaning a discrepancy between nutritional intake and recommended needs. Energy and protein limitations can have negative effects on the body, such as obesity and chronic energy deficiency.
The data collection technique for this activity was a total sampling method attended by 18 female adolescent respondents. The author used univariate analysis as the data analysis technique to simply describe the respondent characteristics. The positive response and interactive discussion at the end of the activity demonstrate a phenomenon of the success of the author's educational community service program.
