Abstract

Hypertension is a major public health problem with a high prevalence and a significant risk of serious complications if not properly controlled. In addition to pharmacological therapy, non-pharmacological approaches that are simple, practical, and promote patient self-management are required. This Community Service activity aimed to improve the ability of patients with hypertension to control vital signs through education and mentoring in the application of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT). The methods included health education on hypertension and vital signs, demonstration and guided practice of SEFT, and step-by-step mentoring of SEFT implementation. Evaluation was conducted through measurements of vital signs before and after the activity, as well as observation of participant engagement. The results showed improved stability of vital signs, particularly blood pressure and respiratory rate, along with increased knowledge and skills in independently applying SEFT. This activity contributes positively to holistic and sustainable hypertension management. SEFT can be recommended as a complementary non-pharmacological intervention to support medical therapy in community-based hypertension control.
