PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN DAN PERILAKU IBU NIFAS TENTANG PEMERIKSAAN FISIK MELALUI EDUKASI KESEHATAN

The postpartum period is the period after labor and the birth of the baby, placenta, and membranes needed to restore the uterine organs to pre-pregnancy state for approximately 6 weeks. Postpartum care management is carried out for 42 days to monitor the mother's physical and psychological recovery and the success of lactation. The main focus includes maternal health checks, exclusive breastfeeding support, nutrition, and family counseling. Standard services are carried out at least 4 times starting from 6 hours to 42 days after delivery to ensure optimal health of the mother and baby. The activity method includes providing education on care management for mothers after childbirth and lactation, before and after providing education on care
management for mothers after childbirth and lactation using a booklet that has a significant impact on respondents' understanding of the target, namely postpartum mothers. Activity Results, Good understanding or knowledge, namely 82% of respondents, will stimulate family attitudes in providing support for mothers to carry out postpartum examinations until KF 4 regularly, so that it will contribute greatly to improving the health of postpartum mothers, namely accelerating physical recovery. The greater the support of postpartum mothers in postpartum examinations until KF 4, the better the health of postpartum mothers. Healthy postpartum mothers will minimize postpartum complications and reduce maternal mortality in Indonesia, as well as maintain overall health during the postpartum period.
