Abstract

This community service program was implemented in Pojok Village through a Pregnant Women’s Class using a family-based education approach and the RedFlag ANC package to strengthen preeclampsia prevention. The program applied a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design involving 25 pregnant women and included health education sessions, referral decision-making simulations, development of a family emergency plan, and follow-up monitoring of antenatal care attendance. Program implementation indicated improved participants’ understanding of preeclampsia danger signs, strengthened family preparedness to respond to warning symptoms, and reinforced commitment to regular antenatal care visits. These findings suggest that family-centered, community-based education supported by concise educational materials and an actionable plan can enhance timely care-seeking behavior and promote early detection through more consistent antenatal care attendance
