PENYULUHAN KESEHATAN PADA IBU HAMIL TENTANG TANDA BAHAYA KEHAMILAN DI DESA MANACAR, KEC. PETERONGAN, KAB.JOMBANG

Abstract

Pregnancy is a natural process experienced by women, but it can be accompanied by life-threatening complications if not detected and treated quickly. In Mancar Village, Peterongan District, Jombang Regency, there are still problems regarding pregnant women's awareness of pregnancy danger signs.

This health education activity was carried out with the main target being pregnant women in Mancar Village, Peterongan District, Jombang Regency

The counseling activities were carried out using interactive lecture methods, group discussions, demonstrations with props, and initial handling simulations. To assess the effectiveness of the counseling, a pre-test evaluation was conducted before the activity began and a post-test after the activity was completed.

Further analysis showed that the increase in knowledge about the 10 danger signs of pregnancy varied. The danger signs that experienced the highest increase in understanding were decreased fetal movement (63% increase), premature rupture of membranes (58% increase), and swelling of the face and hands (56% increase). This is likely due to the delivery method using animated videos and live demonstrations that make the material easier to understand.
