STRATEGI INTERVENSI RUMAH SEHAT DALAM MENDUKUNG PROGRAM KESEHATAN LINGKUNGAN DI UPT PUSKESMAS SITOPENG KOTA CIREBON TAHUN 2025

Abstract

Environmental health problems in urban areas have remained a major challenge, particularly related to housing conditions and environmental sanitation. This community service activity aimed to support environmental health programs through a healthy housing intervention strategy in the working area of Sitopeng Community Health Center, Cirebon City, in 2025. The activity was conducted in Argasunya Subdistrict and involved 60 households as the target participants. A descriptive participatory approach was applied through health education, assistance, and assessment of healthy housing conditions. Data were collected through direct observation and completion of healthy housing assessment instruments before and after the intervention. The results demonstrated an improvement in community knowledge regarding healthy housing and an enhancement in the fulfillment of environmental health indicators, including ventilation, natural lighting, access to clean water, household waste management, and environmental sanitation. The participatory approach encouraged active community involvement in improving household environmental conditions. It was concluded that the healthy housing intervention supported promotive and preventive efforts within environmental health programs at the community health center level and had the potential to be implemented sustainably in other areas.
