Hypertension is a condition where a person's blood pressure is above the normal or optimal limit, which is 120 mmHg systolic and 80 mmHg diastolic. Hypertension is called "the silent disease," a condition characterized by the patient not knowing they have hypertension. Correct and regular management of hypertension exercises is one way to minimize hypertension complications and stabilize blood pressure.
The purpose of this activity was to determine the trend of hypertension in the Karangkulon Imogiri hamlet. The community service method consisted of data review through health cadres, followed by situational analysis based on data obtained from blood pressure checks and hypertension exercises. The data obtained were then analyzed using univariate analysis of respondent characteristics.
The results showed that women were taller than men, the highest age group was in the edelry age group, and the prevalence of hypertension was in the pre-hypertension group.
